How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

How to Transition Your Wardrobe from Winter to Spring

Posted by Amber Rawlings on

Your needed Spring Refresh

Okay, we get it: spring is technically here, but the weather’s still pulling that “I’m not sure what I want to be today” vibe. One day it’s sunny and warm, the next it’s basically winter again. But don’t panic, we’ve got the perfect wardrobe transition plan that’ll keep you cute, comfy, and ready for anything Mother Nature throws at you.

Look, transitioning to spring doesn’t have to be a whole production. With a few smart swaps and a little creativity, you can totally slay the in-between season like the fashion icon you are.

1. Wear Lighter Fabrics

Let’s be real, those thick, heavy wool sweaters and fleece jackets have had their time. It’s so time to let in the lighter fabrics that keep things breezy and, you know, actually comfortable. Think cotton, linen, chiffon (basically, anything that breathes).

2. Incorporate Spring Colors

Goodbye, dark winter shades. Hello, pastel pinks, blues, and yellows that make everything feel like sunshine. You need to get into the spring spirit with a pop of color, trust us.

3. Layer Lighter (It's All About Smart Layers)

You know the drill—layering is life, but not all layers are created equal. It’s time to swap your bulky winter clothes for something lighter that you can easily peel off (or add on) as needed. The key to spring is being ready for anything, and looking cute doing it.

4. Mix and Match

Spring isn’t about throwing out your winter wardrobe and starting from scratch. It’s all about mixing those trusty winter staples with fresh, new pieces. Cozy sweater with a flowy maxi skirt? YES. Lightweight jacket over a tee? DOUBLE YES.

5. Declutter Your Closet (Because, Hello, Fresh Start)

As much as we love our winter layers, it’s time to make space for those spring essentials. Let’s clear out those chunky scarves and snow boots and give our closet a little fresh air. You deserve to feel excited when you open your closet, not like you’re suffocating under last season’s cold-weather leftovers.

Spring Transition Essentials You Need in Your Life:

  • Lightweight Sweaters: Pastels and neutrals, please. The Juneau Sweater in Fawn? A must.

  • Flowy Maxi Skirts and Dresses: Cotton and linen are your best friends. The Isla Skirt is all you need for those breezy spring days.

  • Lighter Color Pants: Ditch the dark, heavy trousers. Opt for light colored pants like the Aspen Linen Pants or Carmen Pants in Cream they are breathable, cute, and perfect for any occasion.

  • Trench Coat or Jean Jacket: Classic, cool, and perfect for those meh spring days. Throw on a Jean Jacket over the Pradera Gingham Dress, paired with your favorite sandals. With that outfit, you’ll be ready to take on whatever the day brings.

  • Comfortable Sandals or Flats: No more boots. It’s time to break out those sandals or cute flats. You’re ready for spring, girl.

Keep It Simple, Keep It Stylish

Spring fashion doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s all about lightening up your layers, adding some pops of color, and mixing in a few new pieces without going overboard. And remember, fashion should be fun. So play with your looks, mix and match, and keep it breezy.

With these tips, your wardrobe will be so ready to bloom. Trust us, you’ve got this.
